Eirik Grøtvedt
Eirik Grødtvedt is First soldier as well as Second Priest in The Magic Flute in Grieghallen autumn 2022.
The Norwegian tenor Eirik Grøtvedt, born in 1993, studied at the State Academy of Music in Oslo, and was a member of the young artist program at The Norwegian Opera & Ballett 2019-2021.
In 2017 he sang Don Ottavio in Don Giovanni in the chamber venue at the Norwegian National Opera, as a part of his studies.
In the summer of 2018 Eirik Grøtvedt participated in the televised celebration of the Norwegian composer Edvard Grieg and in September 2018 he sang Don Ottavio in Don Giovanni with Oslo Opera Festival. He has also sung in concerts with Handel’s Messiah, Mozart’s Requiem and Haydn’s Die Schöpfung (The Creation), among others.
On the main stage of The Norwegian Opera & Ballet he has performed as Don Curzio in The Marriage og Figaro, Borsa in Rigoletto and Le Dancaïre in Carmen.
August 2022 he sang Cassio in Otello, at OscarborgOperaen in Norway.
After participating in our The Magic Flute autumn 2022, he returns to Bergen already in January, when the concert version of Parsifal is presented by Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra, in the role as First Grail Knight (Erster Gralsritter). In May and June 2023 Grøtvedt will be Ferrando i Mozart's Così fan tutte at The Norwegian Opera & Ballet.
