About us
Bergen National Opera presents world-class opera, from fully staged operas in Grieghallen, to festivals and concerts. BNO’s two major collaborators are Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra – one of the world’s oldest orchestras – and Edvard Grieg Korene. BNO is working with highly imaginative creative teams and international acclaimed singers.
Artistic and General Director
Eivind Gullberg Jensen has conducted the Berliner Philharmoniker as well as the stars at Wiener Staatsoper. From 2021 he is Artistic and General Director of Bergen National Opera, with his first programming season 20/21.
New opera house
We are currently working towards building a new opera house and music theatre in Bergen.
