Emily Pogorelc
American soprano Emily Pogorelc is season 2020/21 member of the ensemble of the Bayerische Staatsoper in Munich.
Young American soprano Emily Pogorelc from Milwaukee in Wisconsin graduated recently from The Patrick G. and Shirley W. Ryan Opera Center at Lyric Opera of Chicago.
In her debut at Washington National Opera and the Kennedy Center, Pogorelc portrayed Cunegonde in Francesca Zambello’s production of Bernstein’s Candide. In 2019, she was a semi-finalist in The Queen Sonja International Music Competition.
In the 2020/21 season she is a member of the ensemble of the Bayerische Staatsoper, performing as Die Zaunschlüpfer (Wren) in Walter Braunfel’s Die Vögel (The Birds), Gretel in Hänsel und Gretel, Marzelline in Fidelio, Suor Genoveva in Suor Angelica – and Cherubino in Le Nozze di Figaro.
