Hanna Hipp

The mezzo soprano Hanna Hipp has visited Bergen National Opera two times: First as Suzuki in Madame Butterfly – and then as Emilia in Otello

The Polish mezzo-soprano Hanna Hipp studied music in Gdansk before entering the Guildhall School of Music & Drama and the National Opera Studio in London. Her Magdalena in Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg at the Royal Opera in London spring 2017 was outstanding. Other highlights are as Mercedes in Carmen at La Scala in Milan and 2. Dame in The Magic Flute at the Royal Opera. Summer 2017 Hipp was invited to Glyndebourne as Der Komponist in Ariadne auf Naxos and in 2018 she sang Dorabella in Cosi fan tutte in Seattle.

Hanna Hipp has visited Bergen National Opera two times: First as Suzuki in Madame Butterfly (2016) and then as Emilia in Otello (2017).

Update: Hanna Hipp was to sing The Page of Herodias in Salome at Bergen International Festival (Festspillene i Bergen) May 2020, but due to Covid-19, both performances were cancelled.
