Mari Eriksmoen

Mari Eriksmoen has performed as Pamina in Amsterdam, Aix-en Provence and Basel among others. Now it finally is Bergen's turn when she meets her beloved Tamino in Grieghallen autumn 2022.

Norwegian soprano Eriksmoen completed her studies at the Norwegian Academy of Music in Oslo, Conservatoire National Superieur in Paris and at the Royal Danish Academy of Opera in Copenhagen. She is highly acclaimed, especially for Mozart-roles such as Blonde, Susanna, Zerlina, Pamina and Fiodiligi at opera houses like Theater an der Wien, La Monnaie, Bayerische Staatsoper og Glyndebourne.

    Recent highlights is as Mélisande (in Debussy's Pelléas et Mélisande) at Opera Vlaanderen and Grand Théâtre de Genève, and in March 2022 also in Willy Decker's version in Sevilla.

    In 2021 first solo orchestral disc was released, with arias by Händel and Mozart, together with Stavanger Symphony Orchestra conducted by Jan Willem de Vriend, and later followed by Britten’s Les IIluminations and excerpts from Canteloubes' Chants d’Auvergne with Bergen Philharmonic and Edward Gardner.

    Eriksmoen's first engagement at Bergen National Opera was her recital in Håkonshallen 2017. Autumn 2022 she sings for the first time in a BNO-production in Grieghallen, in the role as Pamina in Mozart's Magic Flute.
