Vincenzo Milletari

Vincenzo Milletari comes to Bergen to conduct Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra, soloists, dancers and chorus in The Merrow Widow 2.0 spring 2022.

Italian Vincenzo Milletari studied at the Conservatory Giuseppe Verdi in Milan and the Royal Danish Academy of Music in Copenhagen. The famous conductors Riccardo Muti and Pier Giorgio Morandi are amongst his mentors. His international career took off in 2017, and has since led to engagements in Copenhagen, Stockholm, Prague, Milan and Macarata, to mention a few.

Autumn 2021 he conducted Madama Butterfly at The Royal Opera in Stockholm, with Asmik Grigorian in the title role, and before he arrives here in Bergen, he will conduct Verdi's Rigoletto at The Norwegian Opera & Ballet in February and March.

Milletari has already won several prizes, notably 2nd Prize in the Sir Georg Solti Competition in Chicago in 2015, and 1st Prize in the Toscanini Competition in Parma in 2017. He makes his house debut with Bergen National Opera.
