Bergen Filharmoniske Kor

Bergen Philharmonic Chorus was nominated for a Grammy Music Award in 2017 in the category of “Best Choral Performance”.

Bergen Philharmonic Chorus was formally established in 1919, but actually the choir’s history is just as old as "Harmonien" (Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra) itself, that is, from 1765. The choir continues to be connected with Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra and comprises of approximately 100 active singers. Chorus master is Håkon Matti Skrede.

The recording of Janáčeks Glagolitic Mass by Chandos Records was nominated for a Grammy Music Award in 2017 in the category of “Best Choral Performance”.

This autumn (2021) the recording of Peter Grimes received The Opera Recording of the Year Award – as well as The Recording of the Year – at Gramophone Classical Music Awards.
