Marcus Farnsworth

Marcus Farnsworth is back as Ned Keene in our Peter Grimes autumn 2019.

After his studies at the Royal Academy of Music in London, Marcus Farnsworth won first prize in the Wigmore Hall International Song Competition in 2009, and received the Song Prize at the Kathleen Ferrier Competition in 2011. Recent highlights include Strephon in Iolanthe at English National Opera, Eddy in Greek at Boston Lyric Opera and Harry Easter in Street Scene at Teatro Real de Madrid. Marcus Farnsworth is no stranger to audiences in Bergen having successfully appeared as Demetrius in A Midsummer Night’s Dream in 2015 and as Maximilian in Candide autumn 2018. As Ned Keene in Peter Grimes, he is warmly welcomed back yet again.
