Elisabeth Gimmestad

SOPRAN

For Bergen National Opera, she has sung in the fairytale operas on the prison island Ulvsnesøy both in 2016 and 2017, and she was Gretel in Hansel and Gretel on tour in 2017.

The lyric coloratura soprano Elisabeth Gimmestad is from Sandane in Norway. She finished her bachelor degree with an additional year at the University of Stavanger and at the National Academy of Santa Cecilia in Rome, withElizabeth Norberg-Schulz and Claudio di Segni as her teachers. Afterwards she got her master degree at the Norwegian Academy of Music in Oslo 2017. She has given concerts and performed in opera productions at Opera Nordfjord, Oslo Operafestival, Christiania Teater, Accademia Filarmonica Romana in Roma – among others.
